Chinese beef tipan style
A delicious Chinese Beef in a dark soy sauce tipan style paired with vegetables. Normally you use a special steel tipan on a gas fire but since not many people have this at home this recipe is changed to use a normal pan or wok.

Preparation time: 60 minutes
Ingredients:
For the meat
• 750 gr / 1.7 pounds of beef
• Fresh ginger 60 gr /2.1 ounce
• 2 teaspoons of salt
• 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
• 3 table spoons of Oyster sauce
• 2 table spoons of flour
• 60 ml / ¼ cup of Chinese oil
For the sauce
• 6 table spoons of Chinese BBQ sauce (char siu sauce)
• 6 table spoons of Oyster sauce
• 1 table spoon of light soy sauce
• 60 ml / ¼ cup of black sweet soy sauce
• 1 tea spoon of ground black pepper
• 1 tea spoon of sesame oil
• 2 tea spoons of rice wine
• 1 table spoon of sugar
The vegetables
• 3 red peppers
• 5 spring onions
• 15 mushrooms
• 3 onions
• 120 ml / 1 / 2 cup of Chinese oil for frying
Steps
1. First start by cutting the meat in thin stripes
2. Then peel the ginger and cut it into small stripes
3. Transfer the meat and ginger to a bowl and add all of the remaining marinade ingredients (salt, pepper, oyster sauce, Chinese oil and the flour)
4. Mix well and transfer the bowl to the fridge so the meat can marinate for at least 2 – 4 hours.
5. When marinated fry the meat for about 5 minutes in a big (wok) pan on high heat by adding oil or Chinese oil. When done set the meat aside
6. Now we are making the sauce by simply adding all ingredients to a cooking pot on low heat (bbq sauce, Oyster sauce, black and light soy sauce, pepper, sesame oil, rice wine and sugar).
7. Cook for about 10 minutes
8. Taste the sauce, and add a little sugar or more salt to taste. Set the sauce aside.
9. Cut the red peppers in stripes
10. Finely chop the spring onions and slice the mushrooms
11. Cut the onions in thing rings or stripes
12. Take a new pan on high heat and use half of the Chinese oil to stir fry shortly for 5 minutes all the red peppers, spring onions and mushrooms
13. Then add the beef, the sauce and the onions and cook on medium heat for 5 more minutes
14. Ready to be served together with rice or noodles. Enjoy!
