Homemade Pepper sauce
Homemade pepper sauce, creamy with a slight salt undertone and of course pepper. Very simple and straight forward to make. It goes very well with meat pork, chicken but it pairs the best with beef.
Serves: 200 ml / 2cups
Preparation time: 30 min
Ingredients:
• 200 ml / 1 cup of water
• A teaspoon of green or black pepper pods
• Half a chicken stock cube
• 150ml / 2/3 cup of cream +/- 40% fat
• Optionally meat juice from the meat you will serve together with the sauce with
• A pinch of salt and optionally additionally ground black pepper
Steps
1. Add the stock cube, pepper pods and the water to a cooking pot on medium heat.
2. When the stock is cooking switch of the fire and add the cream and slowly cook for 5 more minutes.
3. When you are serving the sauce with steak or pork meat transfer all of the meat juices after cooking to the pepper sauce for a more intense flavor.
4. Taste and add a pinch of salt and additionally more ground black pepper to taste if needed.
